What are the evidence-based best practices regarding psychedelic integration therapy? In this talk for the Portland Psychedelic Society’s inaugural conference in 2018, I discuss what integration work looks like in the context of clinical trials.
Researchers and clinicians use psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, mood, substance use, and trauma disorders. Around half of the time a research participant spends in a trial involves therapy without psychedelic medicine. What happens during that therapy, and what can learn from the research world to apply to our own therapy and healing?
Watch this talk to learn how integration work is built into modern clinical research trials, and to learn how you can use these principles in your own self care and therapy.
