LPC and LMFT interns in Oregon, finding a supervisor can be a real headache! I know it was for me when I was an intern. I’m a qualified Supervisor Candidate on the OBLPCT Supervisor Registry. I trained with and receive supervision of supervision from Karen Hixson. She’s great!
My supervision approach represents a combination of research, laws and rules, and industry best practices. It is influenced by my own experiences as a therapist, supervisor, and educator. I encourage an inclusive and anti-racist framework.
I enjoy speaking with fellow clinicians, other professionals, and students about any issue on your mind. Here are some recent topics I have met with people about:
- What steps can you take to enter the rapidly expanding world of psychedelic science?
- You want to work in mental health but how do you know which path is right for you? CADC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, psychologist, some other acronym?
- You are a mental health provider and could use some support with a particularly difficult or otherwise interesting client.
