Helping Adults Feel whole
If you are anxious or confused after having a psychedelic experience, I understand how difficult that can be. You might feel shame or judge yourself for something you did or said in the past. You might be confused about how to get back to normal. Or you might struggle to bring valuable insights into your day-to-day reality. You might feel embarrassed to open up about what you’re really going through, even to family and friends.
What you are experiencing is normal. Reaching out to me and working together means you have a place to get help with your concerns.
Here Are Some Specific Challenges That I Can Help You With
After a psychedelic experience you may be feeling:
- motivated to change, but unsure how to start
- disconnected from your normal life and relationships
- powerful emotions that you don’t know what to do with
- anxiety, guilt, or conflict about your experience
Even if you are feeling overwhelmed with feelings like these, harm reduction and integration therapy can help.
As Your Therapist, I Can Help You Feel Whole
My name is Dr. Peter H Addy and I’m a therapist who is uniquely qualified to help you connect with your whole self. I trained in transpersonal psychology, which is all about psychedelic and other non-ordinary states of consciousness, and how these experiences can influence a person for better or worse. I sought specialty training in psychedelic harm reduction through MAPS and the Zendo Project, and co-founded the Yale Psychedelic Science Group when I was faculty at Yale School of Medicine. Most of my research career centered around atypical psychedelics and how they influence experience, behavior, and emotions. I can help you make sense of your experiences and accept whatever has come up.
Harm Reduction and Integration Therapy Can Improve Your Life
I can provide the support you need to help you find your way towards a grounded, whole life. Even if you’re feeling lost now, I can help guide you in making lasting, positive changes in your life. Integration therapy can help you:
- accept your experiences and memories
- discover how to love yourself
- find motivation to change your life
- connect with your most important values
- feel relaxed and centered
It’s not easy managing your tough situation but the good news is that it’s possible to feel better. I have the experience to help you.
